[toggle title = “Monday 9:30am beatbrick”]‘Brick’ is a term often used by triathletes (swim/bike/run) and duathletes (run/bike/run) to describe a type of training which combines both running and cycling in the same session. This back to back hour session aims to introduce the concept of cross training in a safe and fun environment. It is suitable for beginners in either discipline and of course perfect, for the ‘brave’ ones who would like to try a duathlon or triathlon for the first time. There is no better way to prepare than a good brick session to reduce that fear of ‘jelly legs’ when you hop off the bike and onto the run! [toggle title = “Monday 7:30pm beatchiltern 8 week program“]Let beatbike help you train for a long sportive such as the Chiltern 100.  Whether it is your first time or the one you want to hit your personal best in, this 8 week program will get you to the starting line fully prepared, motivated and fit. Each 90 minute session includes an off-bike 30 minute session for leg and core strength work, followed by a 60 minute Spinning® session.  Structured, longer reps with added high end work in final weeks will deliver the results you are looking for. Tips and techniques from experienced British Cycling coaches will transform how you ride. With optional team entry into an early spring sportive, you will be able to put your improved fitness and skills into action. Let your British Cycling qualified beatbike instructor help you gain confidence riding your road bike or training for your first sportive. Skills covered will include road awareness and traffic management; changing a flat; basic bike maintenance; riding techniques such as hill climbing, downhill braking, gear selection and racing tips; as well as the best bit of riding out on the road – socializing! Join our friendly group and find some other cyclists to train with. Classes will take place at least one Wednesday per month, please check on our online booking system for upcoming dates. Our aim is to get you confident, independent and training in your own social groups in between our regular sessions.[/toggle]

Learn how to ride safely in a group and share a solid Sunday ride with new training buddies. Road bikes and at least 3 months riding experience are essential.
